The world has become a very beautiful place and we now call it ‘NEW EDEN’. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math has taken over most of the occupations by integrating themselves into the various occupations.Various phenomenon has become possible like teleportation, flameless jetpacks which are now called flyers and many others. All this has become possible under the new motion of the STEM, that ‘Science is Magic’ and it seems to be true in a way…

1: Dystopia

‘Keiynan come down. You don’t wanna be late on you first day at school.’ My mom yelled. ‘I am coming mom.’ I replied running down the stairs.‘Good morning mom.’ ‘Morning my love. Breakfast is ready, now hurry up.’‘Okay, okay.’ I said and sat down at the dining table.‘Are you nervous?’ My mom asked.‘A little bit. I’ve never been to a school in the moon before.’‘It is alright. You would do just fine.’ My mum reassured.‘We better get going then.’ I said as I headed towards the door.‘Let me just grab my keys real quick.’

My mom said as she ran upstairs.Mom came down and we entered the car and left. Oh my God where are my manners, I totally forgot, sorry. My name is Keiynan Jaxon Slade. I am the only child and son of Mr and Mrs Jaxon Slade and we just moved from London, England to Dystopia. Dystopia is a lunar city, it is on the moon and now I am headed to my new school named ‘Armstrong-Aldrin High School’. I am excited and scared at the same time. I can’t wait. Dystopia is a very beautiful place indeed, well all lunar cities are beautiful, so…

‘Look, we are here.’ Mom said and I look out the window, the right exclamation to be used here is ‘WOW’.

The building was magnificent, with its violet walls, on top was a crescent which was written Armstrong-Aldrin High School. We went towards the entrance.‘Please raise your hands up and slowly turn around.’ The scan robot said as rays of lilac spectral lines scanned us. ‘Cleared.’ The bot said.‘Welcome to the Armstrong-Aldrin High School.’ It said and the doors opened. The hallway was bustling with kids and I grew more nervous. Mom and I headed towards the principal’s office. Everything was so moon related from the crescent shaped door knobs to the star and moon chains engraved on the floor. MARVELLOUS.

‘Hello Mrs. Slade.’ The principal said. ‘Derek, how are you?’ Mom asked the principal who was beaming with smiles.‘I am alright.’ He said while they hugged. ‘Please sit down.’ He added. ‘Well we just moved here and I was hoping Keiynan could go here.’ Mom said.‘We don’t usually accept any student midterms but because of your family, I guess we could make an exception.’ He told my mom who grinned wildly. ‘Luna.’ He said and I heard a gentle beep. ‘Yes, Mr Principal.’ An AI responded. ‘I want you to meet Luna, my personal assistant and friend, she is a really good company.’ He said talking to my mom. ‘Oh Mr Principal, you’re too kind.’ Luna said giggling. ‘Hey Luna.’ I said. ‘Hey Keiynan are you excited about coming to AAHS?’ She asked. ‘Yes, I am indeed.’ I replied smiling.I have always been fascinated by AIs and robots. ‘Well, Luna could you set up a profile in the school database for Master Keiynan Jaxon Slade.’ The Principal said. ‘Come this way Keiynan.’ Luna said and a door opened.I entered the room and it was empty but of course it is the way of AI. ‘Well to complete your profile I need some info. Should I proceed?’ Luna asked. ‘Absolutely.’ I replied. ‘Okay. So I have your full name and I have detected your height and weight from scanning you, so tell me your age, hobbies, best colour and any other relative thing that I should know.’ She asked. ‘Why do you need all of this?’ I replied curiously. ‘Having a full profile on all our students helps us in many ways, for example, if someone goes missing, we run algorithms based on the information we have and find the most likely places the person might be.’ She explained. ‘Oh, in that case, I am 16 years old, I love adventure and my best colour is grey.’ I said. ‘Splendid, we’ll work out the rest overtime. You may leave.’ She said and the door opened. ‘Congratulations you have been admitted into the prestigious Armstrong-Aldrin High School.’ The principal said. ‘Applause.’ He added and the entire room was filled with the sound of a congratulatory ovation. ‘Cheers.’ Mom said brandishing her British accent. ‘I need your eye, thumb and tongue print, if that is alright?’ He asked as he brought out a biometric printer from his drawer and took my biometrics. ‘Okay, here is your neural link, it will upload all the codes to you’ He said giving me the chip.‘Thank you.’ I said. ‘Now go to the Inventory and pick up your accessories, your load will be taken to your room.’

‘Okay, Bye mom.’

‘Cheers, love.’

On my way to the Inventory I passed this girl she looked so cool I was lost looking at her until…

‘Oooofff!’ I mumbled as I bumped into someone. ‘Hey!’ The person said as he turned. ‘I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to hit you.’ I apologised. ‘That’s alright. I haven’t seen you around here before, I’m Alex.’ He said stretching out his hands for a handshake.

‘I’m new here. Oh, sorry I’m Keiynan.’ I said while shaking his hanging hand. ‘That means you must be the new kid everyone was talking about.’

‘I didn’t know that.’

‘That’s fine, where were you headed.’

‘To the Inventory but I got lost.’

‘My class is the same way; come on I’d take you there.’ He offered smiling. He had a pair of blue eyes which complimented his beige hair, he was putting on a denim trouser with a white shirt tucked in to it and a denim jacket with a pair of white sneakers. ‘Lead the way then.’ I said.

‘Hello.’ I said as I got into the Inventory. ‘Hello, Keiynan. I am guessing you came to pick up your accessories.’ a voice which was obviously an AI said. ‘Yes, I am.’

‘Very well then, my name is Edna and I am the school’s mainframe and AI. Please put on your neural link for identity authentication.’ Edna, the AI said. I put on my NL and I suddenly felt a surge of knowledge about AAHS.

‘Your room is Room number seven in Da Vinci Hall. Here is your ceremonial uniform, a copy of the students manual and your mecha-bracelet. Welcome to Armstrong-Aldrin High School Keiynan, I hope you enjoy it here.’ Edna said. ‘Bye.’ I said as we left the inventory.

‘Well I am in the Da Vinci Hall, Room number seven.’ I told Alex. ‘Wow that is opposite my room. I guess I will see you at the dorm new kid but for now I really need to get to class.’ He replied. ‘Okay, see you then.’‘Bye.’‘Cheers.’ I said and he left.

I didn’t know what to do and I was hungry so I went to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I got chicken and chips with ketchup and I got a place to sit down. I put on my Airpods and was listening to my favourite musician ‘Apollo’ and started eating. I looked up and I saw her passing, she had a pair of silver eyes and black straight hair, she was wearing a pair of jeans and a crop top and she tied her jacket on her waist. As she left the cafeteria, I saw her through the glass walls she tapped her mecha-bracelet and her hoverboard appeared, she boarded it and left. After eating I got bored and fell asleep and I was woken up by a scent then a gentle tap, the scent was familiar and I tried to remember whom it was…BINGO!

It was Alex.

‘Don’t tell me you’ve been here all day.’ He asked amused. ‘Actually, yes I didn’t know what to do.’ I said while cleaning my eyes. ‘I thought everything was uploaded to you.’ Alex asked. ‘It was, but not everything can be done by an AI, I wanted a real person to show me, you know.’ I answered. ‘Well it will be an honour to show you around. I am free tomorrow and I know you don’t have any classes till next week so…’ He offered. ‘Alright then. Let’s get to the dorm. I need to fully settle down.’ I replied. ‘Okay, we’ll use the hoverboard function.’ Alex said as we got to the door. ‘I don’t exactly know how to use it.’ I chipped in. ‘Just tap on your mecha-bracelet and swipe to the hoverboard then concentrate and it will appear.’ He said as he showed from his own. ‘Okay. Tap, swipe and concentrate.’ I said while following his instructions and it worked, the hoverboard was right there. ‘I’ll race ya. Last one there is a rotten fish.’ He screamed as we zoomed into the school quad and into the dorms. We stopped when we got to a door that said Da Vinci hall. As we got close, Alex went ahead and he was scanned with his biometrics and so was I, then we heard a voice.‘Welcome Keiynan Slade and Alex Campbell to the Da Vinci Hall, I am your patron, Ben. Please contact me if you need any assistance. Come along.’

We entered the lobby and we got to our hallway. Alex was in room six. When we got to the door, we said goodbye and I entered my room.
